Salman Khan’s Eid release, Tubelight, didn't manage to make the right noises. While critics panned the film, viewers coming out of theatres didn’t have great things to say about it either.

He also went on to tabulate the earnings of the superstar’s films in recent years and it clearly shows that Tubelight didn't match up. In fact, it has been the lowest a Salman film has collected in several years.

Tubelight, directed by Kabir Khan, is based on the 2015 American war drama Little Boy. Salman plays the simpleton Laxman, whose only goal is to bring his brother, Bharat (
Sohail Khan), back home. Bharat was selected in the Indian Army and set to the border to fight against the Chinese forces in the 1962 Indo-China War.
The film also features Chinese actress Zhu Zhu, Matin Rey Tangu and late actor
Om Puri in pivotal roles.
Coming back to Tubelight’s disappointing performance, well, it’s Eid today. Let’s see if the film is able to create fireworks.
