Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden demise left the nation shocked, and the film industry, as well as the actor’s fans, were left shattered and heartbroken. Following his demise and several reports on the Internet, conversations about mental health and depression started. People showed their support, reassuring that no one’s alone, and urged them to talk if they felt depressed or anxious. Apart from this, there were also other conversations that were initiated, especially, people calling out hypocrisy in Bollywood and the obvious nepotism in the industry. Now, Sonakshi Sinha has slammed all those trying to highlight other issues at a time like this using the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.
After Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, many celebrities have openly talked about nepotism, and how people who do not come from families with a film background are considered outsiders. There are also others judging certain people for not posting on social media, or for not mourning the loss. Among all this, Sonakshi Sinha has blasted those trying to steer the topic away from Sushant’s death and using his death to highlight other issues and garner publicity. She asked people to have some respect for the departed.
Sonakshi Sinha’s Instagram story read, “The problem with wrestling with pigs is that you get dirty and the pig enjoys it. To certain people trying to garner publicity and highlight THEIR issues using the death of a member of our fraternity... PLEASE just stop. Your spewing negativity, hate and toxicity is really not required right now. Have some respect for the departed. Really.”
