Much to everyone’s shock and dismay, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput died due to suicide on June 14, 2020. The late actor hung himself in his Mumbai residence and it was his domestic help who informed the Mumbai Police about it. Sushant Singh Rajput died at the age of 34 and was battling depression for years. In a video shared by AajTak, speaking with the media at Sushant Singh Rajput’s funeral, actor Vivek Oberoi shared a special message for everyone. He said, “We should really take care of our mental health, especially in a situation like this, Stay positive.” When asked how will he remember the late actor, Vivek Oberoi said, “Bahut dard hua yaar dekh kar, itna pyaara baccha tha, happy go lucky, itna sundar baccha is tarah ka ek anth, jabki shuruwat hi aisi thi uske journey ki. Uske pariwaar pe kya beeth rahi hai, its very painful, toh aap log sab prayers kijiye uske liye aur uske family ke liye.”

When the actor was further questioned about the message he would like to share with everyone and the youth who face difficulties and to them whom the thought of suicide might come to, Vivek Oberoi said, “Bilkul nahi karna chahiye.” He added, “Mujhe lagta hai ki bohot kuch dard hota hoga, jisse woh deal kar raha hoga baccha and jo log depression main hain, unko yahi kehna chahunga ki please ‘death is not the answer, suicide is not the solution’ please apne kissi dost se, apne kissi family walo se, ya phir ek doctor se hi baat kar lijiye.” The actor finally concluded saying, “yeh depression ko ap ke upar haawi mat hone diye,” urging fans to not let depression take over them.


Meanwhile, Vivek Oberoi was among a few celebrities who attended Sushant Singh Rajput’s funeral. The actor paid his last rites to the young actor. Apart from Vivek Oberoi, Sushant’s Chhichhore gang including Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma and others were also present. Rumoured GF Rhea Chakraborty also paid her last respects to her dear friend.
