There’s nothing
like a good old extravagant and suspenseful trailer to get us through those
mid-week blues and Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion has certainly got us stoked !
In just two-and-a-half minutes, master filmmaker SS Rajamouli took us on a
journey of apocalyptic proportions filled to the brim with colossal war scenes,
mystifying characters, epic romance, familial battles that literally bring the
house down and of course the inside story behind the greatest backstabbing
plots in recent times – Katappa’s treason.
More than 2 years
in the making with an ocean of manpower in both production and post-production,
Baahubali 2 is India’s most anticipated film followed by 2.0 starring
Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar. The anticipation is doubled by the fact that the
prequel ended on a high note with one of the greatest cliff-hangers of all
time. It was this flourish of the screenplay that is still making rounds among
fans across the globe. The trailer gives us hints about a lot of events such as
the reign of terror unleashed by Bhallaldeva, Katappa’s betrayal, civil war
within the kingdom and final battle between the two brothers. While battle
dates and enemy lines are drawn through various kingdoms, romance blooms between
Baahubali and his warrior princess. But the most salient feature of them all is
the film’s epic production design and visual effects wizardry. One of
Rajamouli’s biggest ever strengths, the director always makes sure that this
potent concoction works its magic and leaves audiences all over spellbound.
