Model Alicia Kaur recently grabbed the headlines for apologising to Kiara Advani. Her apology came after her flirtatious banter with Sidharth Malhotra during the designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil’s fashion show event. They walked the runway and left fans in awe with their chemistry. As netizens began to point out how uncomfortable the actor looked, she took to her Instagram and apologised to his wife. She had written, “#SorryKiara, #ItsOurJob.” The show was set in a 70s theme and the duo created magic with the chemistry and flirtatious moves.
Well, for those who don’t know, Alicia hails from Australia. She is one of the well-known models at the Lakme Fashion Week and she frequently walks ramps for prominent fashion weeks. She is currently based in Mumbai. As reported by the Free Press Journal, she started her modelling career at the age of 3 and has been following her passion ever since.
Opening up about her journey as a model, in an interview with Elle India, she said, “I did my first modelling job when I was 3 and was addicted to the idea of becoming a model. I tried my hand at childhood modelling and acting but I wasn’t so successful; I was rejected at least 45 times by agencies in Melbourne, Australia (where I’m from). Finally, by 19, I signed with a reputable agency, but once I was signed it still wasn’t easy, I still had to hustle and work part-time to support myself.”
Alicia balanced modelling and part-time jobs, at the age of 19, and worked extremely hard to achieve her goals. She was rejected around 45 times by agencies in her hometown, in Melbourne, Australia. As she turned 23, she explored her career possibilities in China and Europe, after which she arrived in India.
Talking about Sid and Kiara, they tied the knot on February 7th, 2023 in an intimate ceremony in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. They got close to each other while working on the movie Shershaah, a biopic of Captain Vikram Batra. Ever since her marriage, speculations surrounding when the actress will announce her first pregnancy have been doing rounds on the internet. Fans are quite eager to know when the couple will embrace parenthood.
On the work front, Sidharth Malhotra was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s web-series Indian Police Force alongside Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi. He has yet to announce his next project.
