Former Indian tennis player Sania Mirza has been busy building a life for herself and her son Izhaan Mirza Malik after her divorce from Pakistani cricket player Shoaib Malik. While the latter was subjected to a lot of hate and criticism for marrying actress Sana Javed, the sportswoman was showered with a lot of love and admiration from the netizens. For the last few weeks, it was heavily rumoured that Mirza is all set to get married for the second time to Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami.

As reported by Koimoi, Shami recently appeared on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube show Unplugged where he slammed the meme makers for spreading such untrue news. He expressed how the news impacted his and Sania’s personal life. Expressing how he found it strange, he slammed the gossipmongers for spreading fake news. Quoted by the entertainment portal, the 33-year-old cricketer said, “Mai ek hi cheez bolna chahunga – agar aap mein dum hai toh verified page se bolke dikhao, fir hum batate hai. Dusre ki taang kheechna bohot aasan hai. Success achieve karo, apna level upar karo. For those who don’t remember, Shami separated from her his Hasin Jahan. However, their separation brought a lot of turmoil in his personal life after his ex-wife filed an FIR against him and his family, accusing him of domestic violence and adultery. He was also accused of “attempted murder, poisoning and criminal intimidation.” Rubbishing the claims, Shami has stated that the allegations were an attempt to distract him from his cricket career. 

While Sania hasn’t reacted to the news of the second marriage, he father has dismissed the speculation by stating that she hasn’t even met Mohammed Shami. The 37-year-old former Indian tennis player currently resides in Dubai with her and Shoaib Malik’s son Izhaan Mirza Malik. 


Talking about the Pakistani cricketer’s personal life, he was earlier married to Ayesha Siddiqui. He divorced her in 2010, before marrying the tennis player later that year. They welcomed their son Izhaan Mirza Malik, eight years later. Amid rumours of him cheating on Mirza, his wedding to Pakistani actress Sana Javed, who divorced her husband of three years, Umar Jaswal brought on a lot of hate and criticism.
