WHAT! Henry Cavill’s Superman Might Not RETURN In A Full-Fledged Role? Man Of Steel 2 Not OFFICIALLY On Cards- READ REPORTS
Henry Cavill’s Superman made a cameo in Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam and The Flash, making fans hopeful that Man Of Steel 2 might be on the cards
DC Extended Universe fans were over the moon when Henry Cavill made a special cameo in the post-credit scene of Black Adam. As he donned the iconic red and blue Superman suit for his cameos in the Dwayne Johnson starrer and The Flash, it made fans hopeful that Man Of Steel 2 might be on the cards for the actor.
It was even believed that everything was fine between Cavill, the WB, and DCEU bosses. Many reports suggested that the sequel of Man Of Steel is on the cards. But it seems like that was all an illusion to pacify the audience. If a report by Koimoi is to be believed, the 39-year-old actor hasn’t officially signed a deal for his future as Superman in the DC universe. ALSO READ: BIG NEWS! According to The Wrap, despite the cameos and reports suggesting the sequel is in the development stages, nothing is set in stone. Neither has the project been given an official green light, nor has Henry signed any deal with the studio.
The report further states that insiders with knowledge of the situation have revealed that no writer or director has been attached to the project. They also added that there is "no formal deal between WB and Henry Cavill to return as Superman yet" despite rumours about the search for a writer being underway that had made headlines.
