WHAT! Diljit Dosanjh Didn't Pay Dancers Who Performed During His Dil-Luminati Concert? Choreographer Makes SHOCKING Claims!
Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has recently been in the spotlight for his Dil-Luminati tour, captivating fans worldwide with his energetic concerts and performances. However, the tour has also been marred by controversy. Rajat Rocky Batta, a Los Angeles-based choreographer and owner of RRB Dance Company, has accused Dosanjh of not paying the 'desi dancers' who participated in the tour. Rajat took to Instagram to share a detailed note about the issue. He expressed admiration for Diljit's success and the groundbreaking nature of his sold-out tours across North America. However, he voiced deep disappointment regarding the treatment of the desi dancers involved. Rajat wrote, "While we as a Desi Dance Community are really proud of a Desi Artist breaking glass ceilings and doing sold-out tours across North America... I still feel deeply disappointed that Desi Dancers are still undervalued as an industry. All of the Desi Dancers in Diljit's Diluminati Tour were not paid, and just expected to perform for free." He emphasized the crucial role desi dancers play in the entertainment industry, from choreography and stage performances to music videos and promotional activities, and criticized Diljit for not including them in the production budget. Following Rajat's post, several dancers who performed with Diljit during the tour responded with their own statements. They expressed solidarity with Diljit and appreciation for the opportunity to work with him. They wrote, "We do not wish to be represented by the voices who don’t understand our relationship, our motivations, sacrifices, and the immense value we place on such experiences. We are proud of our participation and the new avenues it has opened for the Punjabi community. Do not try to break our bond. We stand united." They also praised Diljit, describing their experience with him and his team as one filled with respect and professionalism. They stated, "Performing alongside Diljit Dosanjh was a priceless opportunity that allowed us to showcase our Punjabi culture on a global stage. His extraordinary achievements in selling out multiple arenas and stadiums have placed Punjabis firmly on the map, creating opportunities that once seemed beyond reach."

Despite the contrasting accounts, Diljit Dosanjh has not yet responded publicly to the allegations or the dancers' supportive statements. This situation highlights the complexities within the entertainment industry, particularly regarding the treatment and recognition of behind-the-scenes talent. The desi dance community's concerns reflect broader issues of fair compensation and respect for their contributions, even as they celebrate the cultural milestones achieved through such high-profile tours.

Diljit’s silence on the matter has left many awaiting his response. Whether or not he addresses the allegations, the situation has sparked important conversations about the value and treatment of artists in the industry. As fans continue to enjoy the vibrant performances and cultural showcases of the Dil-Luminati tour, the behind-the-scenes dynamics and issues of equity remain a significant topic of discussion.
