Pakistan citizens were left in terror as they witnessed tremors on camera and television screens from the newsroom shake. However, a newscaster from Pakistan's Mashriq TV bravery instantly breathed a sigh of relief as he broke the news of the earthquake in a viral video that has garnered much acclaim for the news anchor. Amid the terrifying event, another newsroom employee in the video can be seen leaving his seat in panic. 

Journalist Iftikhar Firdous shared the video with the caption, “A local Pashto TV channel Mahshriq TV during the earthquake. Brave of the anchor to keep his calm. But shows the impact of the earthquake.”

For those unaware, an earthquake of magnitude 6.6 rocked the Hindu Kush area of Afghanistan on Tuesday night, causing widespread concerns over northern India and neighbouring Pakistan. Several videos of them same have terrified residents fleeing their houses as the ground shook. 

The quake’s epicentre was located 40 kilometres south-east of the Afghan town of Jurm, close to the country's borders with both Pakistan and Tajikistan. As per the reports, numerous structures collapsed in Pakistan due to the earthquake, which killed nine people, including two women, and wounded more than 160.

Meanwhile, in India, residents of Delhi and the national capital region (NCR) in India experienced strong earthquakes that lasted for more than a minute. Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan too witnessed powerful aftershocks. Not a single person was reported dead, and no buildings were destroyed.
