Recognised as one of the most influential rappers of all time, Tupac Shakur’s untimely demise left the world in shock. He was shot and killed in Las Vegas in September 1996, after he attended a Mike Tyson fight. He passed away at the age of 25 six days after he was shot and 26 years later the killing still remains a mystery. According to a recent report by LatestLY, the police are currently investigating the unresolved murder of the rap legend.

As per the report, the officials recently searched a house in Henderson, Nevada as they continue their attempts at solving the crime. If reports by The Guardian are to be believed, the police were “unclear what they were looking for and where they were looking.”On Monday, a spokesperson with the Las Vegas Metro Police Department told People that a search warrant “was served in Henderson.” they also confirmed that the search was a part of the “ongoing Tupac Shakur homicide investigation”.


As per The Guardian, spokesperson Aden OcampoGomez informed them over a brief phone call that further information on the latest development in the case couldn’t be provided, “citing the open investigation.”

For the unversed, Shakur was a six-time Grammy award nominee. He has a total of 5 No 1 albums. Earlier in 2023, he was honoured with a star on the Hollywood ‘ Walk of Fame.’ The producer Ana Martinez hailed him as a revolutionary. Quoted by LatestLY, Ana said in a statement, “This iconic artist has continued to be part of the zeitgeist for decades after his passing and will continue to be an important cultural figure for many years to come.”
