Sanaya began by describing a seemingly ordinary day when she was traveling home from college with a friend. As she sat in the bus, she felt something unusual on her knee, initially dismissing it as an insect. However, upon feeling it again, she looked up to discover that a man seated in front of her was inappropriately touching her knee through the gap between the seats. The situation escalated when the man moved to another seat across from her, where he began to masturbate while staring directly at her. Alarmed and frightened, Sanaya and her friend decided it was best to get off at the next stop, despite her initial hesitation.

She further recounted another troubling encounter where a man was openly engaging in indecent behavior at a bus stop, attempting to draw her attention to his actions. Sanaya chose to ignore him, demonstrating her resolve not to let such disturbing incidents affect her. Despite these alarming experiences, Sanaya expressed that, aside from a few unfortunate incidents, she has generally felt safe in Mumbai. She emphasized that she refuses to be defined or limited by such encounters.

Sanaya’s journey in the entertainment industry began with her film debut in "Fanaa," featuring Aamir Khan and Kajol. However, it was her remarkable performances on television that truly made her a household name. She starred in several popular shows, including "Left Right Left," "Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi," and "Miley Jab Hum Tum." Yet, it was her portrayal of Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada in "Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?" that solidified her status as a leading figure in the Indian television landscape.
