The Bombay Canteen's Co-Owner Floyd Cardoz Passes Away Due To Coronavirus, Padma Lakshmi Mourns His Death
The deadly Coronavirus has taken the life of one of the best chefs the world has ever seen, Floyd Cardoz. The celebrity chef who self-admitted himself in the hospital in New York is no more.
One more life has succumbed to Coronavirus. Chef Floyd Cardoz who appeared in many shows including Top Chef Masters is no more. Floyd was in New York and his recent post on Instagram revealed that he self-admitted himself in the hospital as he was feeling feverish. Floyd appeared in many shows such as Iron Chef America, After Hours with Daniel Boulud, Reservations Required, Worst Cooks in America and Big Morning Buzz Live. As soon as the reports of his passing away made it to the internet, many poured in their condolences on social media.
American actress and model, Padma Lakshmi, wrote on Twitter, "@floydcardoz made us all so proud. Nobody who lived in NY in the early aughts could forget how delicious and packed Tabla always was. He had an impish smile, an innate need to make those around him happy, and a delicious touch. This is a huge loss...". Floyd Cardoz was also the co-owner of the Bombay Canteen and O Pedro restaurants in Mumbai.
On the official Instagram page of the Bombay Canteen, the team paid him a tribute and wrote, "Chef. Papaji. Floyd. FC. Where do we even begin. It seems like we all met a lifetime ago and yet it all seems so very short right now. You have touched our lives and so many more than we can ever count in the deepest of ways. You showed us what it means to live life to the fullest and be the best versions of ourselves all the time. You believed in the vision and in us more than we ever did and pushed us to be confident and proud in whatever we do, but also to be humble when we take a misstep. But most importantly to wear a smile while doing it all. We know you would’ve taught us so much more in the miles we had remaining together." Check out their post below:
