Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and actor Sonali Phogat left for her heavenly abode on Monday night. She was 42-year-old. As per reports, the Bigg Boss 14 fame actress died due to a heart attack in Goa. It is being said that she along with her staff members had gone to Goa for a shoot. A family member confirmed the same and revealed that Sonali suddenly suffered a massive heart attack. More details on her sudden demise are awaited.

Sonali Phogat rose to fame after she appeared on Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss 14 where she entered as a wildcard contestant. She made headlines for her liking towards her co-contestant Aly Goni. The late actress was also very active on her Instagram handle and often use to share her dance reels and photos. Phogat made her acting debut with the TV show ‘Ek Maa Jo Laakhon Ke Liye Bani Amma in 2016. She also starred in a Haryanvi film 'Chhoriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi Hoti. She had also appeared in a number of Punjabi and Haryanvi music videos.

Talking about her political career, Sonali Phogat was also a BJP leader. In the 2019 Haryana elections, she contested the assembly elections from Adampur on a BJP ticket. She had also contested the Haryana Assembly polls from the Adampur seat against Kuldeep Bishnoi, who recently moved to the BJP from the Congress party.

Sonali is survived by a daughter named Yashodhara Phogat.
