Filmmaker and actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut is currently busy promoting her upcoming film Emergency. She often makes the headlines for getting into trouble with the masses for making controversial statements during her interviews. In a recent interview, she had claimed that “bodies were hanging” and rapes took place during the farmers’ protest. Well, reacting to he comment, Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) chief, Simranjit Singh Mann, passed a shocking and disgusting comment on the actress.

On Thursday, reacting Ranaut’s comment, Mann expressed that she has a lot of “experiences of rapes and how they happen,” and that people should check with her. Quoted by the Free Press Journal, during an interaction with the media, he said, “I don't want to say this but Kangana Ranaut has a lot of experience of rapes... You can ask her how rape happens so that people can be explained how rape happens.” He went on to add that ranaut has experience of rapes, just like a person has experiencr of riding a bicycle. Well, as soon as the video of his statement went viral on social media, netizens were left enraged. They slammed him left, right, and centre for his disgusting statement and demandes that the authorities take strict action against him. One wrote, “ou don’t like her statement on farmers protest, is okay but this is disgusting. People should not blindly follow people like him and Kangana. For those who don’t know, during her interview, Kangana stated that during the farmers’ protest women were getting raped. Calling the protest a ‘conspiracy,’ she added that the US and China were involved in it. Her remark caused an outrage among the netizens. The matter escalated to the point where her party BJP clarified that the statement was her personal opinion and that it is not the party’s view. 

Reacting to the same, the 38-year-old actress said, “I was reprimanded by the party leadership and that's fine with me. I do not think I am the final voice of the party.”








On the work front, Kangana Ranaut was last seen in Tejas. The movie failed to impress the audience as well as the critics and it tanked at the box office. She will be next seen in Emergency. Not only is the movie her first solo directorial, but she will also be essaying the role of India’s late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film is all set to be released on September 6, 2024. Apart from that, she also has a few other projects in her pipeline.
