Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to her official social media handle to heap praises on Hina Khan for going to her first chemotherapy after attending an award function
Actress Hina Khan, who became a household name because of her portrayal of Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, recently left her fans shocked. Being an avid social media user, she took to her official handle to inform her fans that she had been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. Putting the rumours to rest, she confirmed the news and requested privacy as her treatment for the fatal disease had already begun.
On Monday, she took to her Instagram handle to share a video, where she was seen attending her first award ceremony, after her cancer diagnosis. Expressing how it was a “conscious choice” made by her to “normalise it,” she revealed that she went to her first chemo after attending the award function. Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who has been undergoing treatment for her autoimmune condition, Myositis, reshared the video on her Instagram story and heaped praises on Khan. Resharing the video on her story, Hina showered Samantha with love and adoration in return. She wrote, “Takes one to know one… I know you’re an absolute star.. and the way you’ve handled all that life threw at you… is beyond amazing.. Opening up about her Myositis diagnoses, Samantha had once revealed that it was "probably the worst thing to happen to an actor." She had shared how at times, she will be puffy, sometimes fat, sometimes sick. She went on to tell Bollywood Bubble, during her interview, that she has become sensitive to light, which is why she has to wear glasses. Samantha also has to go through intense migraines and that her eyes have been swelling up with pain for the past 8 months.
On the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be next seen in the Indian adaptation of Citadel. Co-starring Varun Dhawan, the web series will mark her second collaboration with filmmakers Raj & DK after Family Man 2. She also announced the launch of her production house Tralala Moving Pictures in collaboration with the Hyderabad-based entertainment company Mandoa Media Works. She recently announced an upcoming project ‘Bangaram’. On the other hand, Hina Khan was last seen in Shinda Shinda No Papa, a Punjabi film, alongside Gippy Grewal.
