Actor Rituparna Sengupta has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to appear in court regarding the West Bengal ration distribution scandal. The latest report indicates that Sengupta is required to present herself at the ED's office next week at the CGO Complex in Salt Lake, located on the northern outskirts of Kolkata. She was originally expected to be present on Wednesday for the ED's interrogation but failed to attend.
Instead of appearing in person, Sengupta sent a communiqué to the Central agency, explaining that her commitments abroad prevented her from attending the interrogation. In her message, she expressed her willingness to fully cooperate with the ED's investigation and assured them that she would make herself available for questioning at any future date.
