The entire country was left numb the moment reports of Rishabh Pant's car crash made it to the headlines. The Indian cricketer’s car crashed into a divider and a video of the same was caught on camera.
The 25-year-old skipper who was heading home in Roorkee was taken to a local hospital, sources close to RP confirmed. The cricketer is said to have dozed off while driving and lost control of the car, the police was quoted as saying by NDTV.

The chilling footage from Uttarakhand featured Mercedes-AMG GLE43 Coupe hitting the divider at high speed. Later, the wicketkeeper-batsman suffered burn injuries as the vehicle caught fire following the collision near Roorkee.

The cricketer was driving from Delhi to his home in Roorkee to surprise his mother and spend the New Year with his family when the accident occurred. While his condition is not serious, he has been admitted to Max Hospital in Dehradun. A doctor from the hospital said that he suffered minor injuries and is conscious.
In other events, Pant was recently dropped from the T20I team for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka.
