Prince Harry- Meghan Markle’s Son Archie Giggles And Wishes Everyone A ‘Happy New Year’; His ‘American Accent’ Grabs Attention
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son Archie was heard speaking for the first time as he wished everyone a Happy New Year! It was too cute, however, it was Archie’s ‘American accent’ that garnered a lot of attention
It was in January this year that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they are stepping back as senior members of the royal family. While they did step away from the royal life, and moved to the US, they haven’t escaped the limelight, and hit the headlines every now and then. There is also a lot of curiosity among fans about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s toddler son Archie, and fans were pleasantly surprised as Archie was heard speaking for the first time!
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released their first podcast on Spotify on Tuesday, during which baby Archie was heard speaking for the first time. One- and-a-half-year old Archie giggled and wished everyone a ‘Happy New Year’ as his parents urged him on. After Archie cutely wished the listeners, Meghan and Prince Harry were heard cheering for him. What grabbed the most attention, however, was Archie’s ‘American accent’. It was noted by The Daily Mail’s royal editor Rebecca English, who tweeted about the same. She wrote that “he very much has an American accent.” Meanwhile, The Sun wrote that ‘Baby Archie has an American accent.’
This was Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s first digital audio program under their new Spotify deal. The podcast is a holiday special, featuring celebrity guests such as Elton John, James Corden, Deepak Chopra and others talking about what helped them to cope with the pandemic.

It’s a thoughtful piece of programming but I suspect will be most commented on for featuring Archie laughing and giggling at the end as he wishes people a Happy New Year. And he very much has an American accent.
Elton John said, “It’s been an awful time for people. I hope we can heal in 2021,” while describing 2020 as the worst year he has ever known. “Cheers to that, Elton,” said Prince Harry, during the podcast.
