On Monday, July 8, Varma posted a cryptic message on his X account, hinting at the concept of 'rejection,' which led netizens to speculate that it was directed at Ranveer Singh after his departure from the project. Varma's post read, "One day you realise every rejection was a blessing in disguise! :)" This statement was part of an official clarification from Varma, Ranveer Singh, and Mythri Movie Makers addressing the rumors and providing their perspectives on the situation. The joint statement elaborated that the timing for Rakshas was not ideal and that the decision to part ways was mutual. Ranveer Singh praised Varma's talent, expressing hope for a future collaboration. "Prasanth is a very special talent. We met and explored the idea of a film together. Hopefully, we will collaborate on something exciting in the future," Singh stated. Varma reciprocated the sentiment, acknowledging Ranveer's unique energy and talent and expressing optimism about working together in the future. Both parties, along with Mythri Movie Makers, agreed that their intentions were aligned but that sometimes projects do not come to fruition as planned.
