Following closely is the sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. Vikrant Massey's critically acclaimed 12th Fail secured the third position, celebrated for its inspirational storyline.
Laapataa Ladies stood at 4th rank, the film is also India's official entry for the Oscars, earning global praise. Teja Sajja’s superhero adventure Hanu-Man ranked fifth and Vijay Sethupathi’s Maharaja, lauded for its intense drama, stands at sixth, rounding off a year of cinematic milestones in Indian cinema. The Malayalam thriller Manjummel Boys claimed the 7th position on Google’s most-searched Indian films of 2024, captivating audiences with its gripping storyline.
Thalapathy Vijay’s action-drama The Greatest of All-Time secured the 8th spot, while Prabhas’ action-packed Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, produced by Hombale Films, ranked 9th. Prabhas and Hombale Films’ Salaar broke many records during its run in theatres and fans are highly anticipating its sequel. Fahadh Faasil’s entertainer Aavesham rounded out the list at the 10th position, earning praise for its engaging narrative and performances.
