Popular Malayalam actor and comedian Kochu Preman passes away at the age of 68
Noted Malayalam film actor and comedian Kochu Preman left for his heavenly abode on Friday due to breathing complications. As per reports, he was admitted to a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. Kochu’s tragic demise has left the Malayalam film industry heartbroken as rich tributes poured in from celebrities on social media. Even fans also mourned the sad demise of the sixty-year-old actor.
Kochu Preman was a popular name in the entertainment film industry. He began his career through drama and ventured into films in 1979 with Ezhu Nirangal but he struggled till the late 90s to earn a name for himself. He was considered the most-sought actor when it comes to comedy and has appeared in many popular shows and movies. Kochu has acted in over 250 films in his decades-long acting life. Preman's most notable work includes Sreekrishnapurathe Nakshathrathilakkam, Mattupetty Machan, Irattakkuttikalude Achan, Pattabhishekam, Guru, Thenkasippattanam, Kalyanaraman, and Thilakkam, Trivandrum Lodge, Ordinary, Ozhimuri, Action Hero Biju, Carbon, and The Priest.
Eminent leaders like Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly V D Satheesan, ministers, and MLAs condoled the death of the veteran actor on Twitter.
Kochu Preman is survived by his actress wife and their son.
