Partha Sarathi Deb Passes Away At The Age 68 In Kolkata; Netizens Morn The Loss Of The Veteran Bengali Actor
Veteran Bengali actor Partha Sarathi Deb has left for his heavenly abode at the age of 68. He passed away while undergoing treatment at a state-run hospital in Kolkata. As reported by the Hindustan Times, he breathed his last on Friday night. He had been suffering from COPD-related ailment, a common lung disease which restricts airflow and breathing problems. The actor family, in a statement informed the news agency PTI, that he was admitted to the M R Bangur hospital for the past month.

Over the past few week, his condition started to worsen and he was shifted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As soon as the news of the untimely demise of the actor has surfaced on the internet, Deb’s acquaintance from the entertainment industry as well as his fans have taken it upon themselves to express their shock and condole the death of the actor. Actors, Jeet and Rupanjana Mitra, took to social media early in Saturday to share their heartfelt condolences.

The vice president of the West Bengal Motion Picture Artists Forum, Parta was well-respected in the entertainment industry. Sharing a statement on the untimely demise of the actor the forum said, “The forum is deeply saddened by his passing away. The mortal remains of the actor will be kept at Technician's Studio today, March 23, at 12:00 pm. The actor's loved ones, teammates, and well-wishers can come to the studio then and pay their last respects.”

For the unversed, over the years, Partha Sarathi Deb was one of teh msot popular faces in television. He also made a mark for himself by working in feature films including the recently released Raktabeej. Having worked in over 200 projects in theatre, serials, films and web shows, he has been a part of serials like Joyee, Chuni Panna, and Mithai. He has also impressed the audience with movies like Prem Aamar, Kakababu Here Gelen, Lathi and Bogla Mama Jug Jug Jiyo.
