As the reports about their marriage started doing rounds on the internet, Ali took to his official social media handle to dismiss the rumours. He issued a clarification stating that he isn’t married to anyone. Quoted by Hindustan Times, the 39-year-old wrote, “I am not married. I don't know who started the rumour. But maybe they should help market my new release: Paniya.” He also added the link of his new song.
For the unaware, Salman is a painter by profession. In an earlier interview the duo had recalled an experience from their college day during their interview with The New Yorker. Ali has spoken about how he used to protect Salman from bullies. He had said, “I think we were all trying to protect Salman, he was the most vulnerable one, because he didn't have any defense mechanisms. I was the tallest person in the class. I was a teacher-pleaser, but Salman was guileless. When boys made fun of him, he couldn't fight back.”
On the work front, having made his musical debut with the album The Floor Sessions (2013), Ali became a household name after his song Pasoori Nu gained recognition on a global platform.
