Pakistani Actor Mohsin Abbas Haider Gets SLAMMED As He Condemns Kolkata Doctor Rape-Murder Case: ‘Didn’t He Physically Assault His Own Wife?’
Pakistani actor Mohsin Abbas Haider has been on the receiving end of hate and criticism for the past few days. Earlier in the week, he took to his official social media handle to apologise to ‘all women’ while condemning the horrific murder and rape case of Kolkata’s trainee doctor. However, his post backfired on him with netizens digging out his past actions of physical abuse towards his ex-wife and slamming him for the same.

As reported by the Free Press Journal, Haider had taken to his official handle to pen a heartfelt note. He wrote, “I wanted to say sorry to every single women on this planet (sic).” He added hashtags ‘hang the rapist’ and ‘justice for (the victim’s name)’ in his post. The post is currently going viral on social media with many Pakistani portals reporting about it. Well, his post didn’t go down well with the netizens as they reminded him of the time his ex-wife Fatema Sohail had accused him of cheating on her and physically assaulting her after being caught. It was back in 2018 when Fatema had informed the netizens about Haider’s actions through a social media post. She had written, “On 26th Nov 2018, I caught my husband cheating. When I confronted him, instead of being embarrassed he started Beating me. I was pregnant at that time.” As soon as the confession went viral, he was slammed by many Pakistani celebrities including Mahira Khan, Ushna Shah, and Hania Amir, among many others.


Talking about the 31-year-old Kolkata doctor’s rape and murder case, the trainee doctor was cruelly murdered and raped on August 9 at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. The heinous crime reportedly took place late at night in the third-floor seminar hall of the chest department. The doctor had allegedly gone to rest in the hall during her 36-hour shift, on the day of her murder and rape. As per the reports, the officials found multiple lacerations and wounds on her body. The crime has sparked outrage on social media as well.
