Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s elder son, Akash Ambani got married to Shloka Mehta in Mumbai on March 9, 2019. The couple tied the knot in the presence of their families and several others. Akash Ambani is the twin brother of Isha Ambani and the elder brother of Anant Ambani.

The grand wedding of Mukesh Ambani’s son saw the appearance of some of the most iconic stars from Bollywood including, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra, Ratan Tata, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Rajinikanth and his daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth and son-in-law Vishagan Vanangamud.

Interestingly, Akash’s mother Nita Ambani performed at the wedding reception on Achyutam Keshavam, and the video of the same has been going viral on the internet. Her graceful performance of the chairperson and founder of Reliance Foundation. 


For those unaware Achyutam Keshvam is a song dedicated to Lord Krishna and he is considered to be the eighth avatar of Vishnu who was born to Devaki and her husband Vasudeva. The popular song praises Lord Krishna with his different names.

As per News18, the word Achyutam means the one who is infallible and Keshavam means the killer of the demon Keshi. Damodaram is another name for Lord Krishna, Dam means rope and Udaram means the waist; translating to one who was bound on the waist by a rope. Yashoda tied Lord Krishna by the waist and all the words refer to Lord Krishna while the song praises the god. 



Nevertheless, the song is also often offered as a prayer while worshipping Lord Krishna.

Well, not only did she dance at her son’s wedding, Nita Ambani also performed at Isha Ambani’s pre-wedding festivities in Udaipur to Adharam Madhuram, which is also a well-known Krishna Bhajan.
