MUMBAI ON HIGH ALERT! NIA Receives Threat Mail About TERROR ATTACK From Taliban; Probe Launched-REPORTS
In a rather shocking turn of events, National Investigation Agency (NIA) received a mail threatening a terror attack on Mumbai. According to the police sources, the mail was sent from an unidentified individual claiming to be a member of Taliban, reported India.com.

The NIA apprised the Mumbai Police about the latest developments following which multiple cities of Maharashtra have been put on alert.

The recent report quoted a Mumbai Police source who told PTI: “The person who sent the threat mail described himself to be a Talibani. He said that there would be a terror attack in Mumbai.”

After receiving the threat mail, NIA along with Mumbai Police started a joint investigation to uncover the truth.

Earlier in January, Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai received a threat call from an unknown caller who threatened to blow up the school.

Furthermore, in October 2022, a similar call informing about the bombs being planted in various parts of the city was made to the Mumbai police. The unidentified caller informed the authorities that bombs were planted at several key places across the city.

As per the police, the call was received by a caller claiming that three bombs have been planted in the city at Infinity Mall Andheri, PVR Mall Juhu, and Sahara Hotel Airport. The Mumbai police Instantly beefed up the security at the targeted places.
