Veteran Telugu actor and Mahesh Babu's father Krishna left for his heavenly abode on Tuesday morning at a private super-specialty hospital. Yesterday, he was rushed to the Continental Hospital in Hyderabad after he suffered a cardiac arrest and was undergoing treatment for the same. Krishna was 80. As per reports, Krishna, who was on a ventilator, was being treated by a multi-disciplinary team of doctors following the cardiac arrest. 

Mahesh Babu's father, who had a three-decade-long illustrious career in South Film Industry, passed away at 4 am after he failed to respond to the treatment. Krishna’s tragic demise has sent shockwaves across the entire film industry with rich tributes pouring in from fans, celebrities, and eminent political leaders. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy mourned his sad death and tweeted, “Krishna Garu is a Telugu superstar. He is Alluri... He is our James Bond. As a man of heart in real life as well, who earned distinction for himself in the film industry, his death is a great loss for Telugu film industry and Telugu people. Actors Chiranjeevi, Jr NTR, Gopichandh Malineni, and others shared a heartfelt note on Twitter offering their condolences.

 Krishna had given many blockbuster films to the industry. He starred in more than 350 films and was regarded as one of the top actors of his time. Krishna was not just a successful actor but was also a popular director and producer. The late actor is the recipient of many prestigious awards including Padma Bhushan.
