A university in Chattisgarh is now looking for teachers. However, the process of recruiting 14850 teachers stalled midway as a rather bizarre turn of events came to light. According to a report in News 18, former Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni's name emerged for the post of teacher. Reportedly, Dhoni has applied for the post of teacher in the capital. Moreover, his application was also shortlisted by the official for a further round of interviews. Interestingly so, the application of Dhoni then turned out to be a hoax.
As per the report, after getting shortlisted, the applicant didn't show up for the interview which raised some doubts. The officials then called Mahi over the given number on the application form which turned out to be fake. Even after accepting the fake application, they are unsure how it made it to the interview. Reportedly, the authorities are now planning to lodge an FIR against this fake applicant. The photo of the application soon went viral on the internet.
Meanwhile, on Independence Day last year, Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced his retirement from International Cricket. He wrote, “Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired” On the other hand, Dhoni is the captain of Chennai Super Kings of the Indian Premier League. Due to the rise in the COVID-19 cases, IPL 2020 got suspended until further notice.
“The health and safety of the nation and everyone involved in our great sport remains our top priority and as such, the BCCI along with the Franchise Owners, Broadcaster, Sponsors and all the Stakeholders acknowledge that the IPL 2020 season will only commence when it is safe and appropriate to do so,” the statement read.
