Krunal Pandya Gets Emotional, Breaks Into Tears During Mid-Innings Interview; Dedicates World Record On ODI Debut To His Late Father
Krunal Pandya, who made his ODI debut last night dedicated his sensational knock to his father Himanshu Pandya who passed away in January this year. Pandya scored a fifty off just 26 balls, which is the fastest by a cricketer on ODI debut. Krunal Pandya turned emotional and broke into tears during the mid-innings interview. Later, he also took to his social media to post pictures from the match, and dedicated the record-breaking debut to his late father.

During the interview after setting the record for scoring the fastest 50 on ODI debut, Krunal Pandya said, “This is for my father’. He got emotional broke down during the interview, after which he took some time to collect himself. He later hugged his brother Hardik Pandya. In his tweet, Krunal Pandya wrote about having tears in his eyes as he felt his father’s presence with him. “Papa, with every ball you were always on my mind and in my heart. Tears rolled down my face as I felt your presence with me. Thank you for being my strength, for being the biggest support I’ve had. I hope I made you proud. This is for you Papa, everything we do is for you Papa,” he wrote.

Hardik Pandya was seen hugging and consoling his brother Krunal, and wrote that their father would be very proud of him.


“Papa would be proud. He’s smiling down on you bhai and sent an early birthday gift for you. You deserve the world and more. I couldn’t be happier for you bhai.
