Fans and celebrities across the world mourned the death of the legend and his daughter along with his family. Now, after reports in an international magazine claim that Bryant’s wife Vanessa Bryant is depressed after losing her husband and daughter, the widow took to her social media to requests a magazine to stop publishing stories and calls out a fake source on social media.
Vanessa Bryant took to her Instagram story to call out celebrity and entertainment magazine US Weekly. Vanessa posted a teaser of the magazine that read, “For more on Vanessa's life without Kobe and Gianna, watch the video above and pick up the new issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now.” As the teaser of the magazine’s article spoke about Vanessa’s life without Kobe and Gianna, the widow of the NBA legend shared the teaser captioning the post, “Please stop.” Asking the magazine to shell out such stories, Vanessa shared a broken heart alongside.
The heartbroken Vanessa Bryant went on to share another picture that saw an excerpt from the magazine’s published story. The report in the magazine claimed that according to a source, Vanessa is relying on her faith and sister, Sophie Laine to get her through her grief and sadness. As the report claims that Vanessa is relying on the support of her sister Sophie Laine, Kobe’s widow wrote, “@usweekly - please stop. No story needed. Clearly, we're grieving. I don't know who Sophie Laine is. My last name isn't even Laine...' sources.’" Requesting the magazine to please stop, Vanessa called out the phoney source and mentioned that her last is not even Laine.
Meanwhile, Vanessa has been active on social media and spoke publicly for the first time at Kobe's and Gianna's public memorial at Staples Center. For the unversed, Kobe Bryant and 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas on January 26 when they were headed to the Mamba Sports Academy for a basketball game.
