Basketball player Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna's tragic death in a helicopter crash left everyone numb. On January 28, Kobe and his daughter along with a few others were flying to Thousand Oaks for a tournament and unfortunately, amid heavy fog, their helicopter met with a crash. All the passengers on-board were reported to be dead. Now, after four months of their demise, the autopsy report of all the deceased has been released.
As reported by BBC, the autopsy reports were posted on the website of the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner office. As per the report, "the cause of death for all nine victims was ruled as blunt trauma." It further read, "The manner of death was certified as an accident". Along with Kobe and his daughter, reportedly, on-board the helicopter were a few teammates of Gianna, their relatives and their basketball coach.
Reportedly, Kobe Bryant's wife Vanessa Bryant has now filed a lawsuit against the company that operated the helicopter. As per the autopsy report of the pilot, he wasn't under the influence of drugs or alcohol when the accident took place.
May 1 marked Gianna's 14th birthday and Vanessa had put up a heartfelt note remembering her daughter. She wrote, "Happy 14th Birthday to my sweet baby girl, Gianna. Mommy loves you more than I can ever show you. You are part of MY SOUL forever. I miss you so much everyday. I wish I could wake up and have you here with me. I miss your smile, your hugs and your giggles. I miss EVERYTHING about YOU, Gigi. I LOVE YOU so much!!!!!!!"
