Kangana Ranaut Gets Y+ Security: All You Need To Know About The Cost And Different Types Of CRPF Security And More

Kangana Ranaut is currently entangled in a war of words with the Maharashtra Government. After she called out Mumbai Police, and compared Mumbai to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, leaders of Maharashtra Government opposed her. BMC then declared her office in Pali Hill as illegal construction and carried out the demolition work. Though her lawyers managed to get Bombay High Court's order to stall the demolition, some damage was already done. Amidst all of this Kangana Ranaut stepped into Mumbai with CRPF officials protecting her.

Before she left Manali to return to Mumbai, Centre approved to provide the actress with Y+ security amidst her tiff with Maharashtra Government. Videos of Kangana Ranaut being escorted by CRPF officials loaded with guns at the Mumbai airport took over social media. As per the reports, the Central Reserve Police Force was established in the year 1939 as Crown Representative's police. It was in the year 1949 that the police force became CRPF. The mission of this police force is to help the government to maintain rule of law, public order and internal security, preserve national integrity, promote social harmony and uphold supremacy of the Constitution. It also comes into action during the times of elections and riots. Further, there are four types of security covers that are provided. X, Y, Z and Z-plus are the four types of security covers, and then there is a Special Protection Group which is provided only to the Prime Minister.


As per a report in India Today, an annual budget of Rs 26,000 crore is given to CRPF. While state and union governments pay for the security covers of VIPs, it has not been revealed yet if Kangana is paying for the security provided to her.
