Jamia Millia Protest: Anurag Kashyap Says Akshay Kumar Is ‘Spineless’, Slams Him For Not Being Vocal
Anurag Kashyap had marked his exit from Twitter, owing to security issues surrounding his daughter. However, in the wake of all the outrage and protests over the passing of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the filmmaker returned to the micro-blogging site to raise his concern. The world isn’t away from all the protests happening across India, especially in Delhi’s Jamia Millia Islamia University. Students are getting beaten up and attacked with tear gas by the police, the disturbing visuals of which are everywhere on the internet.

And while Akshay Kumar hasn’t commented on this issue, he happened to unintentionally like a controversial video that mocked the attacks on students of Jamia. Soon after, the Kesari actor issued a clarification through a tweet. Now, it looks like this hasn’t gone down well with Anurag Kashyap, who called Akshay a ‘spineless’ person, though indirectly. He liked a tweet that took dig at Akki. It read, “I have immense respect for Akshay Kumar. It must be extremely difficult to be trained in Martial arts with a spine missing.” And when Anurag Kashyap was quizzed about the same, he replied by writing, “absolutely.”

Check out the tweet below:

Anurag Kashyap’s tweet over the disturbing Jamia Milia protest read, “This has gone too far.. can’t stay silent any longer . This government is clearly fascist .. and it makes me angry to see voices that can actually make a difference stay quiet.”
