Is Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Returning To Marvel Studios? Here's The Latest Development

Marvel fans were in for a huge shock as it was reported that Spider-man’s character would no more be a part of Marvel Studios and MCU. Fans of the superhero and the franchise were in shock world over. The decision was taken after Disney and Sony decided not to shake hands on the upcoming projects. Tom Holland himself had spoken about the controversial decision a few days back. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, the actor addressed Spider-man’s exit from Marvel.

“Who knows what the future holds? But all I know is that I’m going to continue playing Spider-Man and having the time of my life,” he had said. Now, latest developments hint at a possible reunion between Disney and Sony over Spider-man. If things go through as planned, Tom Holland’s Spider-man could return to the Marvel Studios and Marvel Cinematic Universe. Confirming the news, ComicBookMovie.com’s Mikey Sutton wrote on his social media handles, “I am hearing from sources inside Sony and Disney that both sides might reach a new agreement in a week's time.”

He added that at the moment, things seemed to be “floating in the right direction.” He also added that Tom Holland had been adviced not to discuss the deal while his recent media interaction. Without diving into details, Holland had recently said this about Spider-man’s exit from MCU. “Basically, we’ve made five great movies. It’s been five amazing years. I’ve had the time of my life.The future for Spider-Man will be different” adding that it would be equally awesome and amazing and cool.
