The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 auction is happening in Chennai currently. The auction takes place every year where the players go under the hammer in team selections for the upcoming IPL season. The IPL 2021 Auction was scheduled to happen on Thursday i.e today in Chennai from 3.00 PM IST. Now, with the team owners all set to get their players, Bollywood actor and Indian Premier League team Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta and Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan attend the event.
On Instagram, Preity Zinta made a post as soon as she arrived for the IPL 2021 auction in Chennai. She shared a picture of her from the Chennai airport after landing in the city. The actress clicked a selfie of her wearing a safety gear amidst the pandemic situation in the country. Sharing the picture, she wrote, “Landed in Chennai for the IPL auction. Super curious to know, which players would you like to see in the #PunjabKings jersey this year Let me know folks - I’m all ears #PBKS #SaddaPunjab #iplauction #iplauction2021 #Ting.” Preity mentioned she is super curious to know which players would her fans like to see in the Punjab Kings jersey.

Taking to the official Twitter handle, Indian Premier League shared some pictures from the 2021 auction. The pictures featured Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan too. The star kid made an appearance and is spotted sitting along with Juhi Chawla’s husband Jay Mehta and their daughter Jahnavi Mehta. Shah Rukh Khan and Jay Mehta are co-owners of the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders.

Meanwhile, a total of 292 players are set to go under the hammer in this IPL 2021 auction. About 164 players are Indian, while 124 are from overseas. The IPL 2021 auction will also see three associate players. With the team and its players being picked in the auction, it was the IPL team Mumbai Indians that bagged the winning trophy in IPL 2020.
