IPL 2020: Virender Sehwag Bashed For ‘Insulting’ SunRisers Hyderabad; Netizens Call His Comments ‘Cheap, Very Cheap’
Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 kickstarted on September 19, and there has been a lot of excitement about the cricket tournament. Fans are thrilled to be supporting their favorite teams, and can’t wait to see how far they reach in the tournament. Recently, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag was slammed by Netizens after he took a jibe at the batting line-up of SunRisers Hyderabad. Sehwag is known for airing his views without mincing words, and is quite vocal about the teams’ performances. However, his latest remarks on SunRisers Hyderabad did not go well with fans of the team and they called his remarks cheap.

While speaking to Cricbuzz, former opener Virender Sehwag fired shots at the batting line-up of Hyderabad which has underperformed this season of Dream11 IPL 2020. He even suggested that they should not have even tried to compete at Sharjah against Mumbai and given a walkover to them as they would not have been able to chase down any score considering how it is a high scoring venue where 200 runs are scored almost every time.

“Mujhe lagta hai ki Hyderabad ko walkover dena chahiye, kyuni ki humare (SRH) batting mein dum nahi hain ki hum 200-250 run banaye. Hum toh 150 wale khilari hain, aur Mumbai ne agar peheli batting karli toh Mumbai banane wale hain 200 plus,”  Virender Sehwag told Cricbuzz.

Fans weren’t impressed with his comments and they slammed him for the same. While some claimed that Virender Sehwag has made it a habit of making such statements after retiring, while some called the remarks downright cheap.
