During the T20 series match 2019, India will be seen battling out with Bangladesh in Delhi. As this news got everyone pumped up, Bollywood actress and environmental activist Dia Mirza expressed her displeasure. The lady was certainly not happy with this news, courtesy: Delhi’s air pollution. As BCCI announced the news of the next match that will be conducted in Delhi, Dia Mirza quickly took to her social media and called out on BCCI for ‘this attitude of denial.’ The lady not only talked about the hazards of exposing ourselves to pollution but also drew attention towards the severely poor air quality situation in Delhi post Diwali.

Along with a hard-hitting tweet, she even shared the picture of SAFAR – India Air Quality in Delhi which shows the air quality in the capital is pretty severe. She wrote on her Twitter, “It is baffling that the @BCCI has decided to go ahead with the T20 match despite the AQI’s severe 412! This complete denial of the hazards of exposing ourselves to pollution is what cripples our ability to seek and implement swift solutions. #MyRightToBreathe #BreatheLife”


While she shared another tweet a moment later saying, “And it was baffling last year, and the year before that. Come on #India! Let’s work on acceptance and follow it with conclusive action. We have to shed this attitude of denial. The fundamental #RightToLife starts with our BREATH. #CleanAir #BeatAirPollution #MRTB #BreatheLife”


Earlier, during the match of India Vs Sri Lanka in Delhi, the players’ were seriously injured due to poor quality of air. The players in Delhi was playing with masks on their face as it was difficult to breathe in the capital of India. Well, we wonder if BCCI will consider this problem which is pretty serious.
