South superstar Vijay Deverakonda is all set to take Bollywood by storm with the upcoming film ‘Liger’ where he plays an MMA fighter with speech impairment. At the trailer launch event of the film in Mumbai, Vijay left everyone shocked with his casual outfit. He wore a simple t-shirt and trousers with chappals worth just Rs 199. In fact, Ranveer Singh, who was the special guest at the event, was left stunned looking at Vijay’s chappals. The Arjun Reddy actor has been promoting the film wearing chappals to stay true to his character.
Now, in a recent interview, Deverakonda’s stylish has revealed the reason why the actor ditched branded footwear and opted for simple chappals. DNA quoted his hairstylist as saying, “Liger promotions have been something I was really really looking forward to. There were so many brands and designers constantly following up to construct/design looks for Vijay. On a related note, ‘Liger’ has been directed by Puri Jagannadh and is bankrolled by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages, the film will be released in cinemas on August 25, 2022.
