Greta Thunberg Says It’s Extremely Likely She Had Coronavirus Post Recent Europe Travel: ‘Isolated Myself After Returning’
Climate activist Greta Thunberg on Tuesday said that she probably came down with COVID-19 after her recent travels in Europe. She urged everyone to stay at home to help fight the coronavirus and it’s spread and to do so, even if you’re feeling a little unwell. The Swedish teen took to her Instagram handle and narrated that she had symptoms milder than her latest cold and that she suspected all this due to her father experiencing more severe symptoms. Had it not been for his symptoms, she might’ve shrugged it off as normal cold.

“Many (especially young people) might not notice any symptoms at all, or very mild symptoms. Then they don’t know they have the virus and can pass it on to people in risk groups,” Greta Thunberg said in the post. She urged young people to stay at home, even though they might be at lesser risk but yet help in the transmission of the virus, and slow the spread of the virus and help “flatten the curve”.  She mentioned in her post that after she returned from her trip around Central Europ, she isolated herself.

She further added about her father’s more intense symptoms and how, in Sweden, one cannot get tested for Coronavirus unless one is in need of emergent medical treatment. Which is why she hasn’t been tested, but said that t’s extremely likely she had it.

She wrote, “Now I’ve basically recovered, but - AND THIS IS THE BOTTOM LINE: I almost didn’t feel ill. My last cold was much worse than this! Had it not been for someone else having the virus simultainously I might not even have suspected anything.” Check out the complete post here:
