Indian multi-billionaire Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s youngest son Anant Ambani married his longtime fiance and pharmaceutical tycoons Viren Merchant and Shaila Merchant’s daughter Radhika Merchant on Friday, July 12. Their wedding became the talk of the town ever since they got engaged earlier this year. Celebrities from the Indian entertainment industry as well as Hollywood marked their gorgeous appearance at the grand celebration. As netizens are busy decoding everyone’s ensembles, Radhika and Anant’s first looks as husband and wife recently surfaced on the internet leaving everyone stunned.

As photos and videos of the new bride and groom were published on the internet by the paparazzi and fan pages, a fan page has also shared the first video of their varmala ceremony. In the video, it is seen that Anant and Radhika are sitting on a chair. As their relatives lift the chairs, he puts the varmala around her neck. As soon as the video went viral, netizens went gaga over the beauty of the ceremony. In another video shared by Bollywood Now, on Instagram, the newlyweds look happily at each other, with varmalas around their neck. Having tied the knot and exchanged their vows at their lavish wedding, held at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, Mumbai, Radhika looked ethereal as she wore a gorgeous bridal lehenga designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. As reported by News18, the wedding ensemble was a traditional interpretation of ‘Panetar,’ a Gujarati tradition of brides wearing red and white. Complementing his bride, Anant wore a red sherwani. After a seven-month-long engagement period and three pre-wedding ceremonies, the couple finally tied the knot surrounded by friends and family. After the wedding functions, the Ambanis will follow it with Shubh Aashirwad, which will be hosted on July 13th, and then conclude all the ceremonies with their wedding reception Mangal Utsav on July 14th.

For those who don’t remember, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s first pre-wedding celebration happened in March 2024, where the Ambanis introduced their wildlife center Vantara, in Jamnagar, Gujarat, to their guests. This was followed by a cruise outing in May 2024 with the theme ‘La Vita E Un Viaggio’. According to the reports by Bollywood Shaadis, the ship costs around USD 900 million (approximately Rs 7,500 crore). They kicked off their third pre-wedding ceremony earlier in the week with the Mameru ceremony. Anant and Radhika’s wedding celebrations have become a huge trending topic of discussion on social media and have attracted a lot of scrutiny from the netizens.
