Falguni Pathak ATTACKS Neha Kakkar For Remixing Her Song Maine Payal Hai Chhankai: ‘Mujhe Bas Ulti Aani Baaki Thi’
Falguni Pathak said she was “about to puke” when she first heard Neha Kakkar’s song ‘O Sajna’ which is a recreation of her iconic song 'Maine Payal Hai Chhankai'
Singer Neha Kakkar has been on the receiving end ever since her song ‘O Sajna’ was released. She remixed the song which is a recreation of Falguni Pathak’s iconic 1999 song ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai.’ Soon after its release, a certain section of people brutally trolled Kakker saying she has ruined their childhood with her revamped version. In fact, Falguni is also angry and upset with Neha over ruining the innocence of her song. Pathak even said she was “about to puke” when she first heard the remixed version.
Speaking with Delhi Times, Falguni was asked to share her reaction when she first heard her song’s new version. To this, the popular singer stated, “I got to know about the remixed version three-four days back. First reaction was not good. I was like, mujhe bas ulti aani baaki thi, aisa ho gaya tha. Video aur picturisation mein jo innocence thi, uska pura satyanash kiya hai iss gaane mein. Remixes are happening but do it in a decent way.”ALSO READ: Neha Kakkar Pens Heartfelt Gratitude Note After Falguni Pathak’s SHARP Remarks On Maine Payal Hain 2!
She went on to slam the new version of the song saying that if you want to reach out to the younger generation, change the rhythm of the song, but don’t make it ‘cheap’. “Don’t change the originality of the song. I don’t think I need to do anything; my fans are taking action against the song. I am just sharing the stories. Why should I keep quiet when they are supporting me, main kaise chup baithun,” Falguni further said.
Falguni Pathak had earlier told Pinkvilla that she wishes to take legal action against Neha but she could not since she does not have the rights of the song. Meanwhile, ‘O Sajna’ sung by Neha also features her in the song along with Dhanashree Verma and Priyank Sharma. Composed by Tanishk Bagchi, the lyrics have been penned by Punjabi writer Jaani and the original song’s hook line is used with a modern touch.
