Ex-Pornstar Raven Alexis Passes Away At 35 After Battling Crohn's Disease And Suffering An Infection
Ex-pornstar Raven Alexis passed away at the age of 35 on March 23 in Las Vegas. Her untimely death has shocked the internet and if we are to go go by the reports, she was suffering from an infection and sepsis from the Crohn's disease

Following Alexis death her devastated husband announced, “She went in Sunday night with some complications and some stomach Crohn's/colitis issues she had dealt with, ended up getting some infection and passed away yesterday at 12:44.”

He also noted, “I want all those people out there to know that she loved you all, she cared about you, and I'm just so blessed to have her in my life and be a part of my life. ... She was the absolute world to me, the love of my life.”

Alexis, who earned a 2011 AVN Awards nomination for Best New Starlet, worked with Digital Playground between 2009-2010.

Interestingly, the former pornstar was also known to be a member of sites like RavenAlexis.com and RavensPlayhouse.com and got the opportunity to work in projects such as Exile Pictures' ‘The Graduate XXX: A Paul Thomas Parody’, Axel Braun's ‘This Ain't Ghostbusters XXX 3D’ for Hustler Video, and Third Degree Films' ‘The Official Revenge of the Nerds Parody’.

In 2011, she was awarded with a pair of AVN trophies for her scene in the DP feature ‘Body Heat’ with Kayden Kross, Riley Steele, Katsuni, and Jesse Jane. In the same year, she found herself embroiled in a controversy after talking about her battle with stage four cancer on Howard 100 News.

At the time, she had told Jon Leiberman: “Chemo is hard ... not eating is really hard. Some days are really good, some days are really bad.” But then her ex-fiance Dirt Junior accused her of lying about her cancer.

Meanwhile, after her sudden death, tributes poured in for her on social media. A user tweeted, “It's very sad &  so unexpected.” The second user wrote, “I knew her before she came to LA - Peace be with you.” Erotic photographer Holly Randall said: “Oh man, that is so sad… I’d shot her a few times (that’s actually my photo), and I remember her as always really nice to work with.”
