Ed Sheeran’s wife Cherry Seaborn was diagnosed with a tumour during her sixth month of pregnancy. Now, the English singer-songwriter has revealed the struggles he faced after learning of his wife’s diagnosis and shared his feelings of helplessness and powerlessness upon hearing the devastating news. 

Despite their shortcomings, the couple remained strong and in 2022, they were blessed with their daughter, Jupiter Seaborn Sheeran. Ed opened up about the difficult time he faced when his wife Cherry Seaborn was diagnosed with tumor and said that he had already been dealing with the deaths of several close friends. He said “There's nothing you can do about it. You feel so powerless.”

As per a Rolling Stone report, the couple was initially told that the tumor was inoperable until after she delivered, leaving them to discuss the possibility of welcoming their baby girl early. Ultimately, the couple stayed strong and Cherry successfully carried the pregnancy term and underwent successful surgery after Jupiter’s birth. Sheeran received the news of the 'successful surgery' just hours after his daughter's arrival while he was performing at London’s Wembley Stadium. 

Last year, Ed got candid about his mental struggles and shared that he experienced feelings of not wanting to live anymore and stated, “And I have had that throughout my life.… You're under the waves drowning. On the professional front, Ed shot to fame in 2011 with the release of his debut album +. The album was a critical and commercial hit, featuring the hit singles such as The A Team and Lego House.
