Did You Know BTS Members Paint Their Nails For Performances? The Reason Behind It Is Intriguing
Popular K-Pop band BTS has massive popularity globally, and they have been on a record- breaking spree lately. Known for their superhit songs such as Dynamite, Life Goes On, Outro: Ego, the boy band is not just known for their music, they also often shell out major style goals. From funky colored hair, to their dashing looks at the red carpet, BTS members know how to make a statement. Apart from this, did you know some of the BTS members wear nail paints for their performances? Yes, that’s true, and the reason behind it is really beautiful.

J-Hope has flaunted his painted nails a lot of time, in pictures on social media. He once posted a picture in which he showed off his painted nails with tiny characters on them, while he was working on the Chicken Noodle Soup music video with Becky G. He was also seen with nails that spelled out ‘EGO’ for the Outro: Ego music video. Inspired by him, many fans were also seen with similar nail paints. The reason is that BTS members do not believe in traditional gender norms and it shows in not just their music, but also in the way they style themselves.

American songwriter Melanie Fontana, who co-wrote 'Boy With Luv', said in an interview with Refinery29, “I feel like it’s the really beautiful mixture of masculinity and femininity that they’re so unabashedly known for.”

She further said that BTS members aren’t hesitant to use what is generally called more ‘feminine- sounding melodies’. “I think that that’s what’s so sexy about them. They go for almost ethereal melodies that you wouldn’t necessarily write for a male boy band,” said Melanie.
