Delhi Fashion Influencer Recreates Radhika Merchant’s ‘Fresh Floral Jaal Dupatta’ In Just Rs 2,000; Netizens Say, ‘Bas Yahi Jewellery Hum Afford Kar Sakte Hai’
Delhi-based fashion influencer Arushi Pahwa recreated Radhika Merchant’s Haldi look and made the ‘phoolon ka dupatta’ from scratch for Rs 2,000

Radhika Merchant is currently busy enjoying her newly married status. Having tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Anant Ambani on July 12th, 2024, her bridal looks left everyone in awe especially her haldi look, where she wore a floral jaal dupatta and floral jewellery. Recently, Delhi-based fashion influencer Arushi Pahwa took to her official social media handle to recreate the look. Through the videos uploaded on her Instagram handle, she expressed how after asking around in the flower market for a similar dupatta like Radhika’s, the shops told her it would cost up to Rs 15,000.

Pahwa revealed that after getting to know the price, she decided to make the dupatta on her own. For the same, she brought ‘doda’ flowers and started making the floral strings, she cautioned her followers to be careful while making the strings as the flowers are very delicate and would break if applied pressure. She showed off how to tie the entire dupatta together and even asked her followers to keep hydrating the dupatta and keep them refrigerated as the flowers would blacken. Once the dupatta was completed she finished it off with marigold flowers at the borders. Pairing it up with a yellow choli and lehenga, the influencer recreated Radhika’s look in Rs 2,000. Arushi also revealed that it took her around 10-12 hours to make the dupatta. For those who don’t know, she recreated the look for her new series ‘100 days of Makeover From Start’. ALSO READ: AWW! As soon as the video was posted on Instagram, netizens took to the comment section of the post to laud the influencer for her efforts. One wrore, “Bas radhika ambani ki yhi jewellery h jise ham afford kr sakte hai.” Another wrote, “Esi efforts ke liye 15k mang rha tha wo.” Other one wrote, “Itna patience mughe 7 janam milake bhi nahi aayega.” One commented, “You deserve millions of like.” Another commented, “Salute for your hard work.”
Talking about Radhika’s look for her Haldi ceremony, styled by Rhea Kapoor, she had adorned a beautiful floral dupatta consisting of 90 yellow marigold flowers and 1000 jasmine tagar kalis.
Opening up about making the dupatta, Srishti Kapur, founder of Floral Art, shed light on the ‘Fresh Floral Tagar Jaal Dupatta’. She told News18, “Radhika’s [Merchant] ensemble featured a fresh floral tagar jaal dupatta adorned with over 90 genda flowers and thousands of individual Tagar kalis. The accompanying jewellery, crafted from fresh white Tagar Kalis, yellow button daisy and Thai rui flower, included earrings, tops adorned with tassel strings, a double necklace, haath phool, and floral Kaleeras, all designed to complement the floral theme perfectly.”
