Darshan Booked For Illegally Keeping Geese At His Farmhouse, Amid Renuka Swamy Murder Case Investigation- REPORTS
Kannada actor and filmmaker Darshan Thoogudeepa has been in the middle of controversy ever since his name cropped up in the sensational Renuka Swamy murder case. Currently under investigation for his involvement in the case, he has now found himself in the midst of more trouble as an old interview of his resurfaced, where he boasted about keeping bar-headed geese at his Bengaluru farmhouse and even showed the caged birds on his property. As per a new report by the Free Press Journal, the Bengaluru civic body will be submitting a chargesheet against him for illegally housing geese at his farmhouse. 

As soon as the interview went viral on social media, a case was reportedly filed against the 47-year-old filmmaker, his wife Vijayalakshmi, and their house manager under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, for confining the rare migratory birds, illegally. The media publication reports that the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and the forest department will submit a chargesheet in the illegal geese confinement case in the next two days. The birds have, reportedly, been rescued by the official authorities from the property. It is to be noted that Thoogudeepa is also being investigated in the murder case of the 33-year-old Apollo Pharmacy worker. Darshan is currently lodged in jail along with his partner Pavithra Gowda after they were accused of murdering his ardent fan, Swamy for allegedly sending lewd messages to the actress. He was reportedly beaten with belts and sticks. He was also thrown against the wall, which led to his death. After Renuka was brutally murdered, his remains were discarded in a canal in Kamaksshipalya, Bengaluru. His body was discovered on June 8. If various media reports are to be believed, the actor had paid a huge amount to a few of his fans to kidnap Renuka Swamy and trash him to death. Apparently, two of the four fans were paid Rs 5 lakh each, who also took the blame for the murder case. Apart from Darshan Thoogudeepa and Pavithra Gowda, 17 other people have been taken into police custody in connection with the case.
