Coronavirus Outbreak: NBA Star Kevin Durant Including 4 Brooklyn Nets Players Test Positive
After NBA Player Rudy Gobert, 4 Brooklyn Nets players, including Kevin Durant have tested positive for novel coronavirus.
Coronavirus, which originated from Wuhan China, has spread worldwide. It has affected over lakh people and the contagious disease has already killed thousands. Right from Hollywood celebs and to high profile people, many personalities have already contracted the highly contagious injection. Not only celebs like Tom Hanks, Kristofer Hivju and Idris Elba many NBA stars have also contracted COVID-19. After NBA Player Rudy Gobert, 4 Brooklyn Nets players, including Kevin Durant have tested positive for novel coronavirus.
Confirming the news to The Athletic, Durant said, “"Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine. We're going to get through this.” Taking to social media Brooklyn Nets announced the same in a press release. It read, “The health of our players and staff is of the highest priority to the organization and the team is doing everything within its power to ensure that those affected receive the best care possible.”
After Nets announced their test results, fears began to rise in the Los Angeles Lakers camp as the Nets played the last game against the Lakers. Releasing the statement, Lakers said, “We have been in immediate contact with our players and basketball operations staff members since being made aware of this development. Given the exposure risks from our game against the Nets on March 10th, we are following the next steps of our COVID-19 procedures and protocol that are established in consultation with various health officials, the NBA and our UCLA Health doctors.”
