CarryMinati Explains Controversial Statement ‘Mithai Ki Dukan Mein Le Jaunga, 200 Me Bik Jayega’, Asks People To Stop Making Assumptions- VIDEO

CarryMinati aka Ajey Nagar has been one of the most prominent YouTubers from India and is definitely amongst the top ones in terms of his subscribers. He is famous for his roasts and has recently been in the news for his roast of TikTok and its community. CarryMinati’s ‘YouTube Vs TikTok’ video was in response to TikToker Amir Siddique’s video in which he bashed YouTubers for making fun of TikTok videos. The video was subsequently taken down by YouTube as it violated its terms of service. Many people such as Bhuvan Bam, Ashish Chanchlani and others came out in support of CarryMinati and hashtags such as #CarryMinati and #JusticeForCarry was trending on Twitter.
Now, in the latest video, CarryMinati has urged people to stop making assumptions. He said that it isn’t clear exactly which dialogue it is for which the video was taken down. In the video, he says, “But, now that I'm seeing people are taking out other meanings of my dialogues. I saw articles, videos where each and every word is being taken out of context and is being represented in the wrong way.” He added that whenever we listen to something, it be understood with context. He said that if a statement or dialogue will be read partly, there can be 100 interpretations of it and that his slangs have been taken out of context.
Explaining one of the statements he made in the video, “mithai ki dukan mein le jaunga toh 200 mein bik jayega”, he said that he only meant it in context of brand value. He said that the meaning of the dialogue was just about brand value, which he represented with 200 Rs. Watch the video below:
Concluding the video, Carry Minati says, “Whenever humour written in Hindi is translated to English, the meaning will completely change.” He adds that he doesn’t know which of his dialogues has created the whole controversy, and asked people to stop making assumptions.
