The 77th Cannes Film Festival was all about glamour and sparkles as celebrities from across the world appeared on the red carpet and left the spectators in awe with their fashion statements. A Delhi-based fashion influencer, Nancy Tyagi won over the internet, especially Indian netizens, as not only did she create her own outfit but also spoke with the reports, present at the event, in Hindi. In a time where celebrities are often called out trying to speak with an accent, Tyagi left her admirers impressed by speaking in Hindi on the red carpet.

A video of the same has now gone viral on social media. Brut India, took to their official social media handle to share a video of Nancy Tyagi attending the Cannes Film Festival in her pink dress. While talking about her experiences of attending the event, she is heard saying in Hindi, “Bahut acha lag raha hai, mera dream bhi nahi tha itna bada, jidher mai abhi khadi hoon. Aur bahut acha lag raha hai.”

Speaking of the dress, that she created from scratch, Tyagi revealed that it took her one month to make the dress and over 1000 meters of fabric. Quoted by Bollywood Shaadis, she said, “Yeh outfit mai ne khud hi banaya hai yeh mera hi design hai aur ek mahine mein mai ne isko banaya hai. 1000 meter average (cloth used to make) hua hai.”

Just as the video surfaced on the internet, it instantly went viral. Netizens were quick to take to the comment section of the post to hail her form proudly talking in Hindi, rather than getting influenced and speaking in English.
