Calm Down Singer 'Rema' AKA Divine Ikubor To Perform In India For The FIRST Time; Says, ‘Was Fascinated By The Cultural Landscape’
Nigerian musician Divine Ikubor aka Rema rose to fame when his debut album Rave and Roses received positive reviews and accolades from the critics and worldwide music fanatics. He is all set to make his live debut in India in May 2023 with his Rema Calm Down India Tour. Global festival Afrodesh and homegrown music festival I Love Live Entertainment have collaborated to host the Calm Down singer in the country.

As reported by DNA, the tour is themed around his debut music album. The tickets for his Mumbai show have been priced at Rs 999 and above on Insider, which went live on Tuesday noon, April 18th. In a statement Rema expressed his joy of coming to India and performing for his fans. He said, “I’m super excited to be visiting India, I’ve always been fascinated by the cultural landscape of the country and it feels amazing to be finally touring the country. Can’t wait to join all my lovely Indian fans in the arenas in May 2023.”


He went on to give a shoutout to Offline Guys, Yuvraj Entertainment, Grid Entertainment and Afrodesh for his dream to become a reality. For the unversed, the 22-year-old musician had made it to the headlines in March 2019, for releasing his self-titled debut EP. 

It was his debut album in 2022, that received him loads of positive feedback and accolades from the fans. According to the media publication, ever since its release, the album has not only garnered over 400 million streams but also a billion streams across all streaming platforms in less than a year.  The remix of his song Calm Down alongside Selena Gomez too is being loved by fans all over the world.
